MCAS Tools

Probably the most comprehensive website out there, put together by molecular biologist and mast cell expert Lisa Klimas. Her site covers both MCAS and mastocytosis. It’s easy to spend hours perusing this wonderful resource!

A beautiful resource chock full of healing foods, this website focuses on providing the body with what it needs to thrive vs. a strict elimination approach. Yasmina Ykelenstam, the website’s author, was a fellow patient with MCAS.

Website of Dr. Lawrence Afrin, author of “Never Bet Against Occam: Mast Cell Activation Disease and the Modern Epidemics of Chronic Illness and Medical Complexity. Be sure to scroll down to links of his slide presentations from Wellapalooza which are very informative.

Website of Dr. Theo Theoharides, another pioneer in the MCAS arena. He has an impressive research resume, with passions of MCAS, autism and many other studies to date.

Website for mastocytosis, but also has some information on MCAS and a great section on Emergency Room resources. Fundraising and advocacy opportunities are offered by this organization.

UK-based non-profit organization that offers support and awareness activities, and lots of access to full text articles!

A fun and artistic organization aiming to spread awareness in unique ways. Check out their shop of shirt designs where proceeds go to mast cell research.

Website written by patient Michelle Dellene, loaded with great videos and information!

Twilah Hiari provides a brilliant blog on MCAS-related topics, with a special focus on the connections between autism and MCAD.

Brandy provides information on both MCAS and POTS in her very informative and entertaining patient website and blog.

A patient blog with a special knack for finding the silver lining and sharing humorous moments of her MCAS experience.
